Washington: In the United States, more than 42 million voters have cast early ballots ahead of today's midterm elections. Voting will be held for all 435 seats in the House of Representatives, while 35 are up for grabs in the Senate. Additionally, 36 out of 50 states will elect governors.

Most of the 50 US states allow voters to cast ballots early, either in person or by mail. According to the US Elections Project's latest data, more than 19.44 early votes have been cast in person and 22.9 million by mail for a total of 42.4 million.

Democrats and Republican candidates are making their last-ditch efforts to sway voters to their sides. Abortion rights, immigration, crime, inflation and cost of living are some of the major issues for the US midterm

elections.

Just a few hours before the elections, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump are scheduled to deliver their closing pitches to voters at rallies.

President Biden is holding a rally in Maryland, where Democrats have one of their best opportunities to reclaim a Republican-held governor’s seat.

Mr.Trump will hold his final rally of the campaign in Ohio, which holds special meaning for the former president as he readies for another run for the White House.

The outcome of these midterm elections will affect the 2024 Presidential Elections where Republican leader Trump is eyeing a comeback and Florida’s Republican governor Ron DeSantis is planning to take on both Trump and Biden.
