In China, fifteen people were killed after a mudslide hit a homestay house in a tourist area in southeastern Hunan province yesterday as heavy rains lashed the area. State TV reported that the mudslide was triggered by water rushing down the mountains from the rains. It said, the mudslide
struck the homestay house and trapped 21 people. About 30 centimetres of rain was recorded in the area over a 24-hour period.
Local media reported that six injured people were rescued and taken to a hospital.
