US President Joe Biden emphasized that NATO members should enhance their industrial capabilities to maintain an edge over Russia. Speaking at the 75th founding anniversary of NATO in Washington, he noted that Russia has increased its domestic defense production with assistance from China, Iran, and North Korea.
Speaking cogently and forcefully, US President stated that the alliance has been crucial for the security and growth of its member countries. He pointed out
that Russia is significantly increasing its defense production, including weapons and vehicles. To counter this, he emphasized that all alliance members have pledged to boost their own defense production. This will make the NATO more innovative and competitive, he added.
Thirty-two leaders of NATO countries, including the leaders of Finland and Sweden, the two new additions are attending the three-day summit.
