Nearly 60% of Americans oppose Trump's decision to withdraw from Paris climate deal

A US poll shows nearly 60 percent of Americans oppose President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris agreement on climate change. 

The poll was conducted jointly by the ABC News network and the Washington Post. The results announced yesterday show 59 percent of respondents opposed Trump's decision, while 28



percent supported it. 

Asked how Trump's decision will affect the US economy, 42 percent said it will hurt but 32 percent said it will help. Fifty-five percent agreed that the decision will hurt US leadership in the world.Trump has been criticized by US businesses, as well as countries in Europe and around the world.
