Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena sworn in a new cabinet of ministers last evening under Prime minister Mahinda Rajapaksa even as pressure is growing on him to call early session of Parliament.
Twelve cabinet ministers, one
state and one deputy minister took oath including four MPs who switched sides from alliance led by ousted PM Ranil Wickremsinghe. Meanwhile, European union (EU) and Britain have joined other countries to demand convening of Parliament.
