Google has removed its Instant Search feature that showed search results while a user typed, saying the change will bring it more in line with mobile search.Since over 50 per cent of all Google searches happen on mobiles, it requires different input and interaction and screen constraints.
This is the reason the company has decided to
remove Google Instant, so it can focus on ways to make search faster on all devices, a report in Engadget said on Thursday.
Google Instant was launched in 2010 under the leadership of Marissa Mayer.
Users will now only see search suggestions while they type in Google’s search bar.
