North Korea has reportedly fired two short-range ballistic missiles yesterday which landed in Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone, triggering an official protest from Tokyo.
Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida also sounded an emergency alert to ensure the safety of people, aircraft, vessels, & other assets. Prime Minister Kishida also asked officials to
take all possible measures for precaution, including readiness for contingencies.
On the other hand, South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said that the North launched a ballistic missile toward the Sea of Japan, and the projectile had fallen into the sea off the east coast of the Korean Peninsula.
