Bangladesh national and former Awami
League leader Nur Hossain, prime accused in the sensational 7-murder case, was
deported to Dhaka Thursday night by India. Police said Indian authorities
handed him over to a Bangladesh Police team at the Benapole border.
The reciprocal gesture
comes a day after Dhaka handed
over ULFA leader Anup Chetia to New Delhi. Earlier reacting to Anup Chetia's
return to India, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzaman Khan had clarified that
Bangladesh expects Nur to be returned not in exchange but on account of good
relations between the two countries.
