One dead and eight others injured in Abu Dhabi car collision

One person was killed and eight others injured in a four-car collision beneath Mafraq bridge on Thursday night, towards Abu Dhabi. 

Abu Dhabi police discovered that the driver had swerved into the left median and crashed into the highway barrier. The driver was distracted from the road and hadn't left enough distance from the



vehicles in front of his car, reported Al Bayan.

The injured persons were transferred to Mafraq hospital.

Dr Muslim Mohammed Al Junaibi, head of the Department of Investigation of Serious Accidents of Abu Dhabi Police, urged all users of the road to abide by traffic laws to avoid getting into serious accidents.
