Islamabad: Pakistan's maritime authorities have arrested 36 Indian fishermen and seized their six vessels for allegedly fishing in country's territorial waters, officials said on Wednesday. The Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) said that it apprehended intruding vessels on Tuesday during patrolling in Pakistan Exclusive Economic Zone

The PMSA ship "apprehended 06 Indian fishing boats along with 36 crew, which were engaged in poaching inside Pakistani EEZ," it said in a statement. The boats were being towed to Karachi for further legal proceedings as per Pakistani Laws and UN Convention on Law of Sea, it said.
