Pakistan is not putting enough pressure on the Haqqani terror network: General John Nicholson

Commander of US and NATO forces in Afghanistan, General John Nicholson has said, Pakistan is not putting enough pressure on the Haqqani terror network. He said, this is the reason that the US Defence Secretary is not giving the necessary certification for release of 300 million US dollars in coalition support funds to it.

style="font-family: Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Addressing a press conference in Washington, he said, Defence Secretary has infomed the Congress that there is not adequate pressure being put on the Haqqanis.General Nicholson said, he concurred with the Secretary's assessment on that.He added that Haqqanis constitute the primary threat to Americans, coalition members and Afghans especially in and around Kabul.
