Pakistan Supreme Court has sought an explanation from Evacuee Trust Property Board(ETPB) after Hindu idols went messing in Katas Raj temple complex in the mineral-rich Chakwal district in Pakistan.
The ancient Katas Raj Temple in Pakistan venerated by Hindus is surrounded by a pond and is interconnected with a series Hindu temples through walkaways. The Katas temples, according to ancient mythology were created
by teardrops of Shiva.
There are two temples within the Katas Raj complex - Hanuman temple and Ram Mandir.
A Supreme Court judge expressed shock over the disappearance of the Hindu idols and questioned the authorities on their failure to protest the idols. The pilgrims who visited the holy site had to bring their own idols to perform their rituals, reports said.
