Pakistan's ailing former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's health today showed signs of improvement. According to a medical board, Mr Sharif's platelet count has stabilised and blood pressure is under control.
69 year old Sharif was admitted to Services Hospital on Monday night from Pakistan's anti-graft body's custody after his platelets dropped to a critical low level of 2,000.
A
court on Tuesday suspended his sentence for eight weeks in a corruption case, paving way for his release on bail as his condition deteriorated after the drastic drop in his blood platelet count.
Sharif was shifted to the hospital from the anti-graft body's custody after his personal physician raised an alarm that former premier's condition was serious.
