Peru has expelled the Venezuelan ambassador from Lima after Caracas sent an unacceptable response to regional condemnation of its new constituent assembly.
Peru announced that the ambassador, Diego Molero, has five days to leave the country.
The move comes after a dozen diplomats criticised on Tuesday the rupture of democratic order in Venezuela.Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump said he would not rule
out a military option in the Venezuela crisis. Mr. Trump said that US have troops all over the world in places that is not far away from Venezuela.
Venezuela's Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino said President Trump's threat was an act of craziness. Mr Trump recently called Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro as dictator and imposed sanctions on Venezuela accusing Maduro of undermining democracy.
