PM Modi addresses US-India Strategic Partnership Forum in Washington says, greatest driving force of India's success is aspiration of Indians

Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the India-US partnership is not a partnership of convenience, it is a partnership of conviction, compassion, and shared commitment. Speaking at the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum in Washington today, Mr. Modi said, the greatest driving force of India's success is the aspiration of Indians. 

The Prime Minister said, this is not very different from the American dream. He said, today, the share of private consumption in India's GDP is the highest in the last 15 years. Mr Modi said, India is continuously increasing capex while keeping the fiscal deficit under control. He said, India's exports are increasing, forex is increasing and new records of FDI are being created. 

The Prime Minister said, American companies have invested more than 16 billion dollars in India in the last 2 to 2.5 years. He said, the Indo-US Defense Partnership is building a special kind of relationship with the people of almost every state in America. 

Mr Modi said, Indian companies are investing billions of dollars in America. He said, Indian companies are going global. The



Prime Minister said, the India-US partnership is beneficial to both the nations and their citizens. He said, both nations have taken major decisions to make India-America the most reliable partner. 

Mr Modi said, today, India is investing a record more than 125 billion dollars in infrastructure. He said, there are limitless possibilities for America in this growth story of India. The Prime Minister said, Ease of Doing Business is the commitment of his government. He said,  time and again history has shown, when India grows, the entire world prospers.

Mr. Modi said, India has the solution to a major global challenge, ageing. He said, today India has the biggest talent pool of young people and it also has the biggest skilled and professional workforce. The Prime Minister said, in India, every week a new university is opened, every three days an Atal Tinkering Lab is created, every two days a college is created, Every day a new ITI is opened and every year a new IIM and IIT are opened. He said, the talent from these institutes is working for the welfare of the world.
