JEDDAH: A policeman has died in the Eastern Province after he was shot in the neck by unidentified assailants on Tuesday.
Private Musa Dakheelallah Al-Sharari had just left work at Tarout Police Station and was wearing civilian clothes when he was pulled over by two assailants in a white Toyota Corolla and was shot with a machine
gun.
The assailants stole a machine gun, pistol and a bullet-proof vest from the policeman’s car before fleeing the scene.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior General Mansour Al-Turki said the deceased was shot at 4:30 p.m. while driving his car away from work.
The crime is still under investigation.
