Pope Francis Hospitalized in Rome for Bronchitis Treatment

Pope Francis has been hospitalised in Rome to undergo treatment and tests for bronchitis. The Vatican has confirmed the latest health issues with the Pope. The Vatican said that at the end of his audience this morning, Pope Francis was admitted to a hospital in Gemelli for some necessary diagnostic tests and to continue his treatment for



bronchitis in a hospital environment. Despite the condition, the 88-year-old pontiff continued to hold daily audiences in his Vatican hotel suite. However, his programs have been cancelled for at least until Monday. Pope Francis has been the leader of the 1.4 billion Catholics worldwide since 2013.
