Protesters clash with police in Venezuela

In Venezuela, demonstrators clashed with police on the streets of the Capital  Caracas. 

The health ministry said 69 people had been injured across the country. The government said it was putting down an attempted coup. But military leaders appeared



to be standing behind   President Nicolas  Maduro. 

Meanwhile, US National Security Advisor John Bolton called Venezuela's defence chief and other key officials to oust Maduro.
