Ravi Pujari's extradition from Africa to be initiated soon

Ravi Pujari, the gangster who was on a run for decades, may finally be caught by Indian investigative agencies. The authorities may soon initiate a process to extradite Pujari after he was arrested in Dakar, Senegal (West Africa).
India Today TV has learnt that Pujari was arrested after a tip-off by the Indian intelligence agencies to Interpol that he was travelling to Dakar from Burkina Faso (West Africa).
Pujari, who has dozens of cases against him for extortion, threatening and murder, was arrested by the local authorities for travelling on fake passport on January 22. According to the intelligence sources, Pujari was using a passport issued by Sri Lanka where he had identified himself as Anthony Fernandez.
On January 26, the Indian counterpart was informed about the arrest of Pujari who has been lodged at Rebeuss Detention Centre, Senegal. Sources have told India Today TV that the Indian authorities have initiated the process to extradite Pujari from Senegal.
Pujari, who has been in limelight for threatening Bollywood actors and extorting builders, was running business in Darak, Senegal. According to sources, Pujari is owner of two restaurants - Maharaja and



Namaste India.
Namaste India is an Indian cuisine restaurant in Burkina Faso.
Sources have also told India Today TV that Gujarat was working with Maharashtra agencies too for providing intel on Pujari.
Recently, Pujari's close aides Akash Shetty and William Rodricks were arrested by the Anti-Extortion Cell of Mumbai Police and during interrogation, the police got leads and contacts of Pujari in Senegal. While Pujari made a call to his close associates, the location was traced and with added inputs, the intel was passed to the local authorities and Interpol.

Pujari is one of the most notorious gangsters who started his career in underworld under the shadow of Chotta Rajan.
Pujari, in 1990s moved to Dubai and since then he has been extorting money from builders, Bollywood celebrities and prominent personalities.
In last few years, Pujari threatened many Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan, and Shah Rukh Khan.
Ravi Pujari threatened Shah Rukh Khan for his relationship with Karim Morani who is a friend and business partner of Shah Rukh Khan.
Pujari also ordered firing outside Karim Morani house in Mumbai.
