Russia Launches Aerial Attack on Ukraine with Missiles & Drones

Russia launched an aerial attack on Ukraine yesterday, striking the capital and other regions with multiple missiles and drones. Ukraine said that it downed six of 21 missiles launched overnight and in the early morning by Russia. The Ukrainian Interior Ministry said that a woman was wounded in the Kyiv region, where a private house was damaged. 

Authorities in the northeastern Sumy region



reported strikes near the city of Shostka, where 12 residential buildings had been damaged as well as two educational facilities. The Ukrainian Air Force also reported missiles and drones targeting several other regions of the country. Meanwhile, the Russian Defence Ministry said that its forces successfully struck a Ukrainian air base and a gunpowder factory.
