Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in China on Monday for an official visit. During his two-day visit, he will hold talks with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi on bilateral cooperation, situation in Ukraine and the Asia-Pacific region.
Lavrov’s visit to China comes at a
time when both countries are looking towards strengthening diplomatic ties. The two continent-sized states, increasingly in dispute with Western countries and NATO, seek to gain influence in Africa, the Middle East and South America.
