In Rwanda, President Paul Kagame is set for landslide win in the Presidential election. With 80 percent of results counted, Rwanda's long-time president has 99 percent support with nearly half the ballots counted in yesterday's election.
Early results announced by the
electoral commission indicate a huge margin of victory for Mr Kagame over rivals Frank Habineza and Philippe Mpayimana. Kagame has been in power for 17 years.
Rwanda's constitution was amended in 2015, giving Mr Kagame a chance to stay in power until 2034.
