The bodies of Ahmed Al-Jaafari and Hani Osman, two Saudi nationals who died in Sunday's blasts in Sri Lanka, arrived in Jeddah from Colombo on Thursday and were buried at the historic Ummana Hawwa (Our Mother Eve) graveyard in downtown Jeddah after the dawn prayers on Friday.
Jaafari had been working with the Saudi Arabian Airlines as a cabin supervisor and Osman as a steward. The two were on a rest stop in Colombo when the explosion took place in their hotel.
Relatives, who traveled to Colombo to identify the bodies, had come back to the Kingdom on Monday because of the delay in completing the procedures for repatriate the bodies.
The two bodies were received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by a number of Saudia officials including the airline's Director General Saleh Al-Jasser, relatives and a
number of citizens.
Jaafari was with the airline for about 15 years while his colleague Osman joined the national carrier only two years ago.
Saudia officials and family members received condolences from well-wishers at the Saudia club in Al-Khalidiyyah district of Jeddah Friday evening.
The two men were killed while taking breakfast at the hotel's restaurant before going to the airport to fly out to their next destination.
Hajar, a Saudia air hostess who survived the terrorist attack with serious injuries, arrived on the same flight in Jeddah Thursday evening. She was immediately transferred to a private hospital in Jeddah.
Hajar, 28, is a Moroccan national and she was received at the airport by her two children, family members and Saudia staff.
