Sri Lankan woman dies on flight from Kuwait

Apr 07, Colombo: A Sri Lankan female migrant worker returning home from employment in Saudi Arabia has died on a flight en route to Colombo from Kuwait.

According to the officials of the Bandaranaike International Airport the woman was travelling on a Kuwait Airways flight bound for Colombo. The flight has landed in the country at around 04.50 a.m.



Friday.

The 64-year-old woman had travelled to Kuwait from Saudi Arabia to visit her husband and was returning to the island from Kuwait, local media reported.

The cause of the death is yet to be determined. The body has been placed at the Negombo Hospital.

The Katunayake Airport Police are conducting further investigations.
