Kabul: Four militants, including Taliban commander Mullah Qadir, were killed in a clash in Afghanistan’s Parwan province on Friday, the police said.
The incident took place in Qadir Khil village of Jabal Seraj district early morning, provincial police chief Mohammad Mahfoz Walizada told Xinhua news agency. Qadir was the chief of the military commission of the Taliban in
the province.
The clash erupted after Qadir forcibly took a car from a person and was driving to an unknown location, when a rival Taliban commander intercepted the car and opened fire killing the four militants, including Mullah Qadir on the spot and injuring another.
Walizada said that Qadir’s elimination can prove a major blow to the armed group.
