Taliban regime in Afghanistan has criticised the Pakistan government's policy to expel all Afghan immigrants without legal documents by 31st October. Calling it unfair and unjust, Taliban's acting defence minister Mullah Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid asked Pakistan's citizens, its religious clerics and political elders to stop the officials from committing such cruelty to Afghans. He also called upon the Afghan investors to withdraw from Pakistan, and instead invest in making Afghanistan
self-sufficient.
Responding to his comments. Balochistan's Caretaker Information Minister Jan Achakzai said that Pakistan holds the sovereign right to expel any individuals, including those from Afghanistan, and that Pakistan will not buckle under any external pressure. He reassured that the process will be carried out in a humane and respectful manner. The Pakistani government in the past has blamed Afghan immigrants terror attacks and drug smuggling.
