In US, a thunderstorm knocked out power across Los Angeles International Airport yesterday, delaying more than 100 flights. According to officials, strong winds of 56 kilometre per hour were buffeting the airport but were not expected to further delay flights as they were coming from the
west.
The storm rumbling across California dumped almost one metre of snow in parts of the Sierra Nevada mountain range overnight. Flash flood watches were in place for foothill neighborhoods in Los Angeles, with the National Weather Service forecasting more heavy rain and lightning.
