Worried passengers were moved from Namur Station in the Wallonia region after a telephone warning that two devices had been left in the building was received.
Police and firefighters were quickly on the scene and evacuated the station before setting up a security cordon.
A spokesman for the SNCB rail network said rail services were being shut down as a
precaution and passengers faced long delays.
Searches of the station failed to uncover any devices and rail services in and out of Namur are now resuming.
A Namur police spokesman said: "The platforms and the station have been checked but no suspicious elements have been identified."
The spokesman said an investigation to track down the anonymous caller is now under way.
