Turkey's military offensive against Kurdish Forces in Syria has attracted World-wide condemnation. UN Security Council and Arab League have called emergency meetings to discuss the situation arising out of the Syrian Military operation.
NATO Chief Jens Stoltenberg has urged Turkey to show restraint in its operation, warning that the fight against the Islamic State group should not be put at risk.
The assault has been strongly criticised by France and Germany, which warned it risked an IS resurgence.
United Arab Emirates also
strongly condemned the Turkish military aggression in Syria. A statement by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation noted that this aggression represents a serious development and an unacceptable, flagrant assault on the sovereignty of a brotherly Arab state in defiance of international law and blatant interference in Arab affairs.
Two civilians were killed in airstrikes conducted by Turkish forces in Misharrafa village in northeastern Syria yesterday. Two civilians also sustained injuries in the airstrikes.
