A Turkish court has sentenced six suspected Islamic State terrorists to life in jail over the 2016 triple suicide bombing of Istanbul's main airport that killed 45 people.
According to the official Anadolu news agency, the six were convicted of murder, violating the constitution and damaging property. The court handed
down 46-time-aggravated life terms for each defendant and sentenced them to a total of 2,604 years in prison for attempting to kill 142 people and damaging property.
No group had claimed responsibility for the attack, but Turkey said the Islamic State terror group was behind the blasts.
