Israel has detained two British members of parliament and refused entry to the officials who were visiting as part of a parliamentary delegation. 

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy has described the Israeli action as unacceptable, counterproductive and



deeply concerning.

Israeli immigration authorities in a statement said Abtisam Mohamed and Yuan Yang were refused entry because they intended to spread hateful rhetoric against the Israeli population.
