UAE government’s Amnesty 2024 scheme, which provides overstaying foreigners an opportunity to regularise their visa status or exit the country without penalties, is set to conclude today, with no further extension announced.

Officials clarified that the two-month amnesty, which began on September 1, will not be extended beyond the deadline. Overstaying expatriates were urged to take advantage of this final opportunity.

The Consulate General of India in Dubai has been actively assisting Indian expatriates with the

process. To date, the Indian Mission has issued a total of 2,275 emergency certificates since the scheme’s launch. Furthermore, 10,951 amnesty seekers have visited the Consulate for assistance, and a total of 2,409 exit permits and outpasses have been issued to facilitate smooth departures.

As the Amnesty 2024 deadline approaches, the Consulate General of India in Dubai remains committed to providing support to the Indian expatriate community, ensuring a smooth transition and reintegration.
