UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Monday announced 2025 as the Year of Community, launching a national initiative aimed at fostering unity and inclusion across society. Under the slogan “Hand in Hand,” the campaign reflects the UAE leadership’s vision to build a cohesive and empowered community.
The UAE is home to over four million Indians, who form a vital part of the country’s diverse population. President Sheikh Mohamed’s announcement reinforces the leadership’s commitment to creating a harmonious and inclusive society.
In a post on X, Sheikh Mohamed called on “all those who call the UAE home” to contribute towards improving their communities and ensuring the nation continues to serve as “an inspiring model of progress and prosperity.” He emphasized the importance of collective efforts in strengthening social bonds, fostering shared responsibility, and unlocking the potential for inclusive
and sustainable growth.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, also shared his support for the initiative, highlighting its focus on unity and social cohesion. “The foundation of our nation’s strength lies in a united community, where individuals are connected, and care is extended to each other,” he said, adding that strong families are key to a thriving community and a brighter future for generations to come.
A series of events and programs will be unveiled throughout the year, encouraging citizens and residents to engage in community service, volunteering, and initiatives that celebrate the UAE’s cultural diversity.
