Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has appealed to U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping to attend the peace summit in Switzerland scheduled on 15th and 16th of June.
In a video posted on social media platform Telegram Zelenskiy said more than 80 countries would attend the summit, but it is unclear whether Biden would be there, nor has Beijing confirmed its
attendance. He said, the efforts of the global majority are the best guarantee that all commitments will be fulfilled.
Switzerland has invited around 160 countries to a peace summit to discuss possible ways to achieve lasting peace in Ukraine. Russia has previously said, it sees no point in Ukraine’s conference.
