Ukrainian 'Harry Potter Castle' Devastated by Russian Missile Strike

In a tragic turn of events, the idyllic estate dubbed the 'Harry Potter Castle' in Ukraine has fallen victim to a devastating Russian missile strike, as reported by CNN. The attack not only razed the beloved landmark but also claimed the lives of four individuals, while leaving 30 others wounded, including two children and a pregnant woman. Ukrainian authorities revealed that the strike inflicted damage on nearly 20 residential buildings and vital infrastructure in the Southern Ukrainian city.

Images and footage released by Ukraine's Prosecutor General's office depict the once-charming cone-shaped towers and roofs of the educational institution engulfed in flames, evoking a stark reminder of the castle's mystical namesake. Known for its resemblance to a Scottish baronial pile, the structure earned its endearing moniker from locals. Ukrainian officials suspect that Russia employed an Iskander ballistic missile alongside cluster munitions in executing the assault.

"This indiscriminate weapon poses grave risks to civilian lives, evident in the debris scattered within a 1.5 km radius of the impact zone. The investigation strongly suggests a



deliberate intent by Russian Armed Forces officers to inflict maximum harm on Ukrainian civilians," read a tweet from Ukrainian authorities.

"The investigation remains underway. Those responsible for orchestrating these heinous attacks will face justice," affirmed the Ukrainian official.

Contrary to Ukrainian assertions, Russia claims that its air defenses in Crimea thwarted a substantial missile and drone onslaught from Ukraine. According to CNN, Kremlin-appointed figure Sergey Aksyonov, overseeing occupied Crimea, cautioned against approaching potential unexploded ordnance, while discouraging the filming or dissemination of Russian air defense activities. Russian military sources allege that the targets primarily included airfields and assert that all six US-supplied Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) were effectively neutralized.

In a parallel narrative, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg's recent condemnation of the sluggish aid delivery from Ukraine's Western allies underscores the gravity of the situation.
