RIYADH: University education is an investment in developing human resources in the Kingdom, Riyadh Gov. Prince Faisal bin Bandar said Monday at the convocation ceremony at Shaqra University in Dawadmi in the Riyadh region.
The graduation ceremony was held for the eighth batch of students from the university, including 3,788 graduates from affiliated colleges from provinces such as Afif and Shaqra.
The students received their bachelor’s degree in subjects such as special education, psychology, mathematics, Arabic language, English, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, business administration, law, financial
management, accountancy and medical rehabilitation.
In his speech, Prince Faisal said the country is proud of the students for graduating from the well-planned education system provided by King Salman.
Education services are distributed equally among the regions of the Kingdom to benefit the entire population, he said, adding that the Saudi education system is geared toward creating a knowledge-based society.
Awad Al-Asmari, director of Shaqra University, said it has drawn up a roadmap that endeavors to provide the best education to its students in a number of disciplines according to their aptitude.
