The United Nations Security Council, UNSC, has agreed to begin drawing up new sanctions against North Korea over its fifth nuclear test. The decision was taken at an urgent meeting of the 15-member Council. The Council, in a press statement, condemned the test and said, it will start discussions on significant
measures against Pyongyang including new sanctions.
North Korea has been subject to five sets of UN sanctions since its first test in 2006.
It had Friday announced that it successfully carried out its fifth nuclear test. South Korea believes it was the North's biggest-ever test.
