The US has approved the transfer of F-16 fighter jets from Denmark and the Netherlands to Ukraine. This marks a major milestone for Ukraine in the war against Russia as F-16 is widely considered one of the world's most reliable fighter jets.
Ukraine's Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov welcomed the US decision and said Ukraine's victory is inevitable. Earlier, the US ruled out providing F-16s to Ukraine, fearing it would lead to further
escalation with Russia.
Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the commander of Russia's operation in Ukraine. Putin held a meeting at the headquarters of the special military operation group in Rostov-on-Don. The meeting comes after Ukraine claimed victory in the small village of Urozhaine in the Donetsk region. However, Russia has called the meeting a special military operation.
