US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has decided to temporarily halt operations at the international railway crossing bridges in Eagle Pass and El Paso, Texas, due to an increase in migrant border crossings. The operational closures to redirect personnel to process migrants will start today.
In the past few
weeks, the Biden administration has stopped crossings for vehicles and pedestrians in Eagle Pass, Texas; Lukeville, Arizona; and San Ysidro, California. The migrant surge is because of the misinformation orchestrated by transnational criminal organizations and cartels.
