A delegation of lawmakers from the United States led by vocal China critics Bob Menendez and Lindsey Graham arrived in Taiwan yesterday for a two-day trip as Beijing threatened strong measures in response.

Taiwan’s foreign ministry said the US legislators would meet with President Tsai Ing-wen, Foreign Affairs Minister Joseph Wu and defence officials.
