US Navy has said, its Guided-missile destroyer USS John S McCain has collided with an oil tanker off the coast of Singapore in the early hours today.It said in a statement that the Destroyer had sustained damage to its port side when it struck the Liberian-flagged vessel. Navy said currently 10 sailors are missing and five injured in the collision and
search and rescue efforts are underway in coordination with local authorities.
It is the second collision involving a ship from the Navy's 7th Fleet in the Pacific in two months. Seven sailors died in June when the USS Fitzgerald and a container ship hit each other in waters off Japan.
