US President Joe Biden and his South Korean counterpart Moon Jae-in have stressed the need to engage North Korea in dialogue over its nuclear weapons program urgently.

At a joint news conference, Biden and Moon said the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula is their goal.

Biden said both US and South Korea are deeply concerned about the situation.

Biden said he would be willing to meet North Korean leader under the right conditions, depending

on if Kim agree to discuss his nuclear program.

Moon was the second foreign leader - after Japan's prime minister - to visit the White House since Biden took office in January.

The two leaders also discussed China and Taiwan.

Moon said the United States and South Korea would combine capabilities to supply COVID-19 vaccines in the Indo-Pacific region.

They also discussed how to tackle climate change.
