US President Donald Trump spoke with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin over the phone, the White House said. White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders in a statement said that a read out of conversation will be shared later. No other details were immediately available.
However, the Kremlin in a statement today said,
both leaders discussed bilateral relations and situation in the Korean Peninsula during a telephone call. They agreed to continue contacts, the Kremlin added, but did not provide further details.
The phone call between the two leaders came after Putin's annual press conference in which he praised Trump.
