US President Donald Trump has said, he will sign a new executive order next week to replace the travel ban that suspended travel from seven Muslim majority countries and temporarily barred most refugees.
In a news conference at the White House, Mr Trump said, the new order will comprehensively protect the United States. He said, extreme vetting will be put in place which already exists in many places.Meanwhile, in a
filing with the ninth circuit court of appeals, government lawyers asked the court not to consider the old ruling that temporarily suspended the travel ban.
The Justice Department said, President Trump will clear the way for immediately protecting the country rather than pursuing further, potentially time-consuming litigation. A district judge in Virginia had ruled that the executive order is unconstitutional.
