US Prez Joe Biden waives 26 federal laws in South Texas to build wall along Mexico border

United States President Joe Biden has waived  26 federal laws in South Texas by using his executive powers. The aim of the move is to build a wall along Mexico border. Alejandro Mayorkas, the Department of Homeland Security secretary, said that the wall was urgently needed to



prevent illegal entry into the US. 

However, the environmentalists have expressed concerns that the construction will harm the ecology of the highly erosive area, and prevent wildlife movement.
