US Republicans elect Paul Ryan as their candidate for Speaker of House of Representatives

Washington: In US, Republicans elected Paul Ryan as their candidate for Speaker of the House of Representatives Wednesday.

Republican leaders said 45-year-old Ryan

won a closed-door election to replace Speaker John Boehner, who announced last month that he is stepping down. A full vote on the floor of the Republican controlled House is scheduled for today.
