US & Russia Officials to Meet in Riyadh to Discuss Russia-Ukraine Conflict

Top officials of the United States and Russia will meet in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia today to discuss ending the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Foreign Affairs Adviser Yuri Ushakov arrived in the Saudi capital yesterday. On the other hand, the US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce has said that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, National Security Adviser Mike Waltz, and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff will meet the Russian delegation.

Ukraine’s local media has reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will not participate in the US-Russia negotiations in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Zelensky said that Kyiv will not accept the results of the negotiations that do not involve Ukraine. The Ukrainian president further said that his official visit to Saudi Arabia has no connection with the things that are happening in Saudi Arabia at the level of representatives of the United States and Russia.
