US Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Tel Aviv amid the ongoing conflict between Israel with Hamas.
The US Secretary of State said that the US is determined to make sure that Israel gets everything it needs to defend itself and provide for the security of its people. He also promised Israel more ammunition to re-stock its air defenses. Mr. Blinken said, Israel had a right to defend itself but how it did that mattered. He urges restraint to protect civilians as the bombarding continues for the sixth
day.
After Israel, Blinken will head to Jordan, where he will meet with King Abdullah and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
More than 2700 people have lost their lives on both sides since Hamas terrorists launched a surprise attack on Israel. The number of people killed in Israel has now risen to 1,300 people.
The Palestinian health ministry said that the death toll in Gaza following air strikes by Israeli forces has risen to 1,417 and the total number of people injured is now 6,268.
