The US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, will visit China from April 24th to 26th. According to the US State Department, he will hold talks on bilateral and global issues with Chinese officials, including the crisis in West Asia, the Russia-Ukraine war, and cross-strait and South China Sea issues.
Beside these matters, counter-narcotics, bolstering military-to-military communication,
establishing talks on artificial intelligence risks and safety, and exploring ways to strengthen people-to-people ties will also be addressed during his visit. Meanwhile, China’s Foreign Ministry welcomed the US Secretary of State’s visit to China as tensions rise between the two countries over global trade, regional conflicts, and the Russia-Ukraine war.
