Amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, the United States has sent roughly 11 lakhs bullets seized from Iran last year to Ukraine. The US Central Command said the bullets were confiscated from a ship bound for Yemen in December. Centcom says the Iranian rounds were transferred to Ukraine on Monday. The Iranian munitions were originally seized by the US Navy from a
stateless ship in December last year.
America has already provided over 20 crore bullets and grenades to Ukraine. With the prolonging of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Kyiv's Western allies have warned that their production lines were struggling to keep up with the rate at which Ukraine was using ammunition.
